I’m sure it won’t be long before the ACLU applauds this.
AJ Strata tells us:
Thanks to some privacy groups who more concerned with our government knowing anything about them - as opposed to knowing enough about people travelling here to protect us from attack - it appears the terrorist watch list has been removed from our national defenses:
Just in time for your holiday travels. I don’t know about you, but I feel much safer.
The Washington Post announces it to the world, and the terrorists:
Secure Flight, the U.S. government’s stalled program to screen domestic air passengers against terrorism watch lists, violated federal law during a crucial test phase, according to a report to be issued today by the Homeland Security Department’s privacy office.
The agency found that by gathering passenger data from commercial brokers in 2004 without notifying the passengers, the program violated a 1974 Privacy Act requirement that the public be made aware of any changes in a federal program that affects the privacy of U.S. citizens. “As ultimately implemented, the commercial data test conducted in connection with the Secure Flight program testing did not match [the Transportation Security Administration’s] public announcements,” the report states.
….
Congress has halted Secure Flight, except for testing, until it can allay privacy and security concerns.
The report notes that TSA eventually revised its public notice about the program to reflect more closely the program itself. But it also suggests that Secure Flight will run afoul of the law again unless it follows a set of recommendations, including being transparent about the program’s collection and use of passengers’ personal information.
Meanwhile, TSA are reporting thousands of missing jackets and badges!!!
Disturbing new evidence reveals a threat to our homeland security is worse than originally thought.
The News Four WOAI Trouble Shooters first uncovered records last May showing 1400 airport security badges and uniforms are missing from airports here and across the country.
Now, new information obtained by Trouble Shooter Brian Collister shows a dramatic increase in the total number.
—
Now, we’ve received new records revealing the number of missing badges and uniforms has more than doubled and is now at 3719.
After our initial investigation, a source within TSA told us agency officials sent out an email urgently asking every airport security director to immediately report any missing items they have not already reported to TSA headquarters.
Also, don’t think of switching to the NY Transit!
I don’t know about you, but I feel “safe and free” now. You know, if we allow the possibility of people’s personal information to be screened just for the sake of safety…the terrorists have already won! Right? I heard that somewhere. Oh well….hope everyone has a safe Christmas! As AJ Strata reminds us…We have completely opened up air transportation inside this country to anyone with a credit card and a desire to fly.

Merry Christmas, terrorists.
