Democrats Outraged Scooter Libby did whatever it is that He Did
03.30.07 (11:45 am)   [edit]

Washington – Democrats across the country were outraged after Vice President Dick Cheney’s former Chief of Staff, Lewis “Scooter” Libby, was convicted for committing whatever crime Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald had charged him of committing, Underneath Politics has learned.

“It makes me sick,” said long time Democratic voter Betty Granath. “To think he did what it is that he did is beyond comprehension. How could he betray the trust of the American people like that? I haven’t been this outraged since that Florida lady (Katherine Harris) did whatever it is that she did to help George W. Bush illegally win the 2000 election.”

Kenneth Johns from Santa Monica, California, echoed the sentiments of Ms. Granath. “Maybe Karl Rove put Mr. Libby up to the hideous thing that he did wrong during the time when so many scandalous things were being done by the Republicans in power. It’s disgraceful!”

Ms. Granath thinks Bush should not impeach Mr. Libby under any circumstances. “I hope President Bush makes it clear to the American people that no matter who you are, if you do what Scooter Libby did, you will go to jail for however long you should go to jail for… if you did something like he did.”

Mr. Johns wonders how Scooter Libby will inform his children of what Daddy did. “I’ve never heard of him before today and don’t know if he has kids, but if he does, I’m sure sitting them down and saying, ‘Daddy has done a horrible thing to the American people, something that Daddy will try and explain when you’re an adult, and he is going away to pay his debt to society,” will be a very difficult thing.

Mr. Johns also thinks Libby’s fellow inmates will not take so kindly to his offenses. “You don’t want to know what they do to guys that have done what it is that Mr. Libby did,” he said. “Once those prisoners read court documents and decipher his crime, they will do unspeakable harm to his person.”

Though outraged over his offense, Ms. Granath hopes no physical harm comes to Scooter Libby. “Maybe they could separate him from the rest of the prison population,” she said. “I don’t know how much damage inmates in a white collar prison could do, but something tells me it would only aggravate his mild case of arthritis. This is America after all, not an American prison being run in Iraq.”

He got convicted of revealing the name of undercover CIA agent. Prisoners don't like people to tell the enemy who Americas secert agents are people like Libby are called rats, informants.

"He got convicted of revealing the name of undercover CIA agent."

Thanks for proving my point so thoroughly. :)

Care to do a quick search on the verdict if you intend to stand by that outright lie, and maybe supply a link?

What is wrong with your comment reply? Why is a pop up appearing comment contains content that is not permitted.

Wikipedia Libby's criminal trial, United States v. Libby, began on January 16, 2007. On March 6, 2007, Libby was found guilty on four of the five counts with which he was charged: two counts of perjury, one of obstruction of justice, and one of making false statements to federal investigators. Libby's lawyers announced that he would seek a new trial, and, if that attempt fails, they will appeal Libby's conviction. The court changed the language in order to protect him in prison. Prisoners don't like traitors. It is a safe assumption that Libby was part of the group which leaked the CIA name. Why do you think th prejury was brought up Libby inital response was he had nothing to do with the CIA leak case, upon further investigations it found out to be a lie.

Not sure what's up with the commenting section of tBlog. Been a bit flaky lately.

To the point: I usually ignore anyone using Wikipedia as a trustworthy source for anything political, but I'll let you have this one.

OK, exactly where in the article do you find support for your initial allegation of:

"He got convicted of revealing the name of undercover CIA agent."?

BTW, the article is *satire." I'll wait right here while you look it up.

Psssst! You're STILL proving the post is spot on.

Still waiting...

"He got convicted of revealing the name of undercover CIA agent."

Outright lie. Proves satirical article.

Refutation? None provided, or even attempted. Just a lame claim of "your comments section doesn't work."
