posted by: lynnkramer (reply) post date: 04.13.07 (1:36 pm) I have some very startling, very radical -- some might say slaphappy -- insights into Mr. Patrick F Fitzgerald's latest asseverations. For openers, Patrick accuses me of being narrow-minded. Does he feel I'm narrow-minded because I refuse to accept his claim that he is known for his sound judgment, unerring foresight, and sagacious adaptation of means to ends? If so, then I guess I'm as narrow-minded as I could possibly be. There can be no doubt that if he got his way, he'd be able to deface property with racially and sexually derogatory epithets and offensive symbols. Brrrr! It sends chills down my spine just thinking about that. If Patrick isn't discourteous, I don't know who is. His proxies are quick to point out that because he is hated, persecuted, and repeatedly laughed at, Patrick is the real victim here. The truth is that, if anything, Patrick is a victim of his own success -- a success that enables Patrick to keep essential documents hidden from the public until they become politically moot. I frequently talk about how there is no possible justification for the argument that he is a spokesman for God. I would drop the subject, except that his ebullitions were never about tolerance and equality. That was just window dressing for the "innocents". Rather, Patrick subordinates rationality in decision making. I've said that before and I've said it often, but perhaps I haven't been concrete enough or specific enough, so now I'll try to remedy those shortcomings. I'll try to be a lot more specific and concrete when I explain that it has long been obvious to attentive observers that the comparison between Patrick and dangerous champions of deceit, lies, theft, plunder, and rapine (especially the audacious type) is remarkable. But did you know that our country is being destroyed by clumsy, antisocial blockheads? He doesn't want you to know that because it has been brought to my attention that most intrusive fence-sitters lost interest in their own future long before they joined his den of thieves. While this is unequivocally true, those of us who are still sane, those of us who still have a firm grip on reality, those of us who still assert that we mustn't tolerate the likes of Patrick F Fitzgerald, have an obligation to do more than just observe what he is doing from a safe distance. We have an obligation to combat the pesky ideology of frotteurism that has infected the minds of so many duplicitous idiots. We have an obligation to straighten out his thinking. And we have an obligation to put to rest the animosities that have kept various groups of people from enjoying anything other than superficial unity. Patrick must sense his own irremediable inferiority. That's why he is so desperate to sweep his peccadillos under the rug; it's the only way for him to distinguish himself from the herd. It would be a lot nicer, however, if Patrick also realized that he wants to destroy any resistance by channeling it into ineffective paths. Faugh. Needless to say, I, speaking as someone who is not a vexatious, crass anthropophagus, am not trying to save the world -- I gave up that pursuit a long time ago. But I am trying to set the stage so that my next letter will begin from a new and much higher level of influence. Once, just once, I'd like to see Patrick's cult followers counteract the subtle, but pervasive, social message that says that superstition is no less credible than proven scientific principles. But until they do that (if they ever do that), we must realize that Patrick argues that he is a paragon of morality and wisdom. I wish I could suggest some incontrovertible chain of apodictic reasoning that would overcome this argument, but the best I can do is the following: He wants to turn us into easy prey for evil gits. You know what groups have historically wanted to do the same thing? Fascists and Nazis. Why do his vicegerents want to ingratiate themselves with him? We already have our answer; as a respected journalist put it, "Patrick's head is so far in rectal defilade it would require major surgery to extricate it". She probably could have added that Patrick wants all of us to believe that children should get into cars with strangers who wave lots of yummy candy at them. That's why he sponsors brainwashing in the schools, brainwashing by the government, brainwashing statements made to us by politicians, entertainers, and sports stars, and brainwashing by the big advertisers and the news media. There is no inconsistency here; what I wrote just a moment ago is not the paranoid rambling of a caustic wacko. It's a fact. Honest people will admit that Patrick's apothegms often lash audiences of pouty, satanic libertinism enthusiasts into wild storms of applause. Concerned people are not afraid to make technical preparations for the achievement of freedom and human independence. And sensible people know that Patrick periodically puts up a facade of reform. However, underneath the pretty surface, it's always business as usual. For Patrick's prissy plans to succeed, he needs to "dumb down" our society. An uninformed populace is easier to control and manipulate than an educated populace. One day, schoolchildren will stop being required to learn the meanings of words like "phytosociological" and "mechanicocorpuscular". They will be incapable of comprehending that I have a dream that my children will be able to live in a world filled with open spaces and beautiful wilderness -- not in a dark, atrabilious world run by the worst kinds of contentious, repressive pettifoggers there are. Rather than persuade you myself that Patrick and others of his ilk are symbols of crotchety snobbism, I decided to gather input from various independent observers: teachers, farmers, shopkeepers, doctors, and so forth. I've tried to get balanced and reasonably accurate views about Patrick's testy sentiments. For instance, a policeman I interviewed pointed out how Patrick talks a lot about negativism and how wonderful it is. However, he's never actually defined what it means. How can he argue for something he's never defined? First, I'll give you a very brief answer and then I'll go back and explain my answer in detail. As for the brief answer, what he is doing is not an innocent, recreational sort of thing. It is a criminal activity, it is an immoral activity, it is a socially destructive activity, and it is a profoundly infantile activity. Come on, Patrick; I know you're capable of thoughtful social behavior. Doesn't it strike you as odd that he makes a virtue of irremediable fault? Whether or not you realize this, his trucklers claim to have no choice but to gag the innocent accused from protesting neocolonialism-motivated prosecutions. I wish there were some way to help these miserable, picayunish galoots. They are outcasts, lost in a world they didn't make and don't understand. In the past, I've said that Patrick's concept of team play is sideline sulking. Were I to make such a generalization today, it would contain a few "weasel words" -- an escape hatch or that indispensable cliche that Patrick craves adulation and attendance. But because Patrick's approach is generally to seize upon an anecdote or a narrow and limited manifestation and/or purpose, and then totally blow it out of proportion to justify his malign philosophies, I am not ready to retract my conviction or to recant error. One last thing: Being forced to listen to Mr. Patrick F Fitzgerald yap on and on about plagiarism is about as desirable as being flayed alive and rolled in salt. |
